I swear that when we got back from Colombia I told myself that I was going to do weekly updates on this thing...but it's looking more like MONTHLY updates are going to have to do...it just seems like one day turns into the next and before I know it it's been a few weeks since the last update... Anyway...let's get you up to speed...
Carol has been in school for about a month and loves it...Jhon Fredy has had a few soccer games and has scored his first goal (OLE!!!!!!)...and Anji is...well - Anji...she is eating us out of house and home and growing in leaps and bounds. Donna is keeping us all organized and on track. And I've been just trying to keep up with the other four.
I won't try to kid you into thinking that it's always a bed of roses. We, all five of us, have our moments and at times we, all five of us, can be quite trying. But I think, after three months, we are still learning how to be a family (I don't think anyone ever actually masters this). Limits are being tested, boundaries pushed and roles set. But, there seems to be a level of forgiveness between us that continues to amaze me. A forgiveness that can only be found among 'family'. There is a trust that no matter how we may have treated each other (good or bad) - we can ask for forgiveness and it will be there. Anji looks for a hug after she knows she did something wrong. Carol will remind me that Jhon-Fredy is tired when he is acting up. Jhon-Fredy starts rubbing my back after he has a meltdown from being told 'no'. If I'm short with Donna I really make an effort to regroup later to talk about it (and she does the same - trust me). I guess what I'm trying to say is that by this time we all have seen each other's good and bad sides and it doesn't seem to matter to anyone. We are sticking together. We are now, actually loving each other as a family.
Ok...ok...enough of the heavy stuff. I thought since I did a video for Jhon-Fredy and Carol, Anji deserved one too. Also I realized that in the videos I have done so far you don't get to hear the kid’s voices! So I've included some footage with Anji 'expressing' herself. so here she is in all her glory - Anji Paola Krebs - we hope you enjoy it:
Update you more soon,
Scott

Yeah! Thanks for the update! And for being 'real' with both the fun and challenging parts to become parents of 3! We will begin our journey as a family of 5 in just about 2 weeks!
Loved Anji's video! She IS lovely! :)

Thank you so much for sharing your "amazing, most excellent" adventure!! Love you all, Gail
Very good blog Scott. I enjoyed reading your post. The video, once again was good. We totally understand the difficulties and joys of being family now also. Just keep up the good updates.
I like to write them on my desktop when I think of them and save them for when I want to post something.
The pictures and videos of your family are wonderful to see. Wish we lived a lot closer to the five of you.
Also, just wanted you to know that my STEELER blowup is our on the front lawn.

Finally I get a chance to check back in with your family... what a whirlwind lately and the countdown is on for us meeting our 3 kiddos! C'mon you remember those chaotic moments, don't you? So happy to hear that things are progressing well with the dynamics of your family! The kids look to be thriving! They each seem to have such cute little personalities. Best of luck and know that you're in our prayers. God Bless, Genece
Very nice (and real) post. There are good times and bad and if you can love each other through all of them you will be fine. Have a very happy holidays. I'm sure its going to be crazy!
