The Krebs Family - the first 24 hours

| 5 Comments | No TrackBacks

We've learned few things about each other today...first one of Anji's favorite foods is "Green Crayon"...Jhon-Fredy LOVES to play soccer and is fearless (he was playing with a 12 year old and a 15 year old)...and Carol LOVES to type on the computer...and she has added to the entry today:

"fjdfdfdhfghdfdjhfkju833883838484fdfhd8eurfdjhfdf8erdkfdjfkdfjf fhjdhffu89jfngcbnbnmnmbknbb21526363637678989999911111111111111"

She sat on the computer just 'typing' away and would have sat there for an hour or two if we had let her.

We pretty much played ALL day together. The hotel has a GREAT little fenced in courtyard with a swingset and a slide and toys for the kids...it's really been great being here. Also there are other families from all over the world here who are adopting and we all help each other out with the kids and translating.

We started off the day with little Anji looking rather apprehensive about what was going on but after an hour or so - we were kinda wishing she was STILL apprehensive. She was all over the place talking and chatting with everyone...it was fantastic to see her toddling about. Tonight when we were all laying down to go to sleep she stood up in her crib and gave a very passionate oratory - on what we don't know - but she was very serious about it!

Jhon-Fredy had a great day as well...he had a few moments of tears but all in all he was a ball of energy and was pretty fearless out on the playground. We constantly kept hearing him shout "Hola Mami! Hola Papi!" and then would slide down the slide or kick the ball. It was hilarious.

Carol also did pretty well. We think she is processing it all. She smiles a lot but there are moments when you can catch her and she is deep in thought. During siesta today Donna and I had put the kids down and went outside the door to catch up on emails and such and when I came back in the room - I found Carol sitting very quietly looking over the photo album we had sent her previous to coming of us and the house and her new Grandparents, etc. She just looked up and smiled. Then when I laid down to catch a nap - she took the blanket we had brought her and covered me up - making sure I was very comfy. She is precious.

So as promised here are some new pics for the day:
